The Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers
Is being a traditional executive assistant your vocational calling? Do you wish you could do what you love AND have great work life balance? If so, this may be your next professional home.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This combination EA/personal assistant role includes expense reporting and travel arrangements for both the CEO and the General Counsel and, most importantly, triaging email follow-up and clean-up. It also involves meticulous compilation and editing of presentation materials for regular board meetings and managing the board nomination and rotation schedule. There will also be personal work for the President such as managing benefits and family scheduling. Overall, you will be the gatekeeper and master juggler of the executive office. This is an “open office” environment, with a high energy staff. They embrace a work-life balance culture, with generous leave policies and incredible benefits.
ABOUT THE PRESIDENT/CEO
The CEO is an entrepreneur at heart with bold ideas. He freely and colorfully speaks his mind, yet is generous with his staff. He is hands-off, trusting, and full of integrity; and he assumes you will be the same. His boisterous Italian nature often comes through, so he does best with an EA who can ground him and maintains an even keel alongside the highs and lows of his temperament. He needs you to be detailed but not rigid; anticipatory but not presumptuous. Like any executive, he has his quirks but is self-effacing enough to laugh at himself.
