Marketing Communications Manager (remote)



Do you love writing compelling promotional content? Are you a terrific wordsmith-er with a journalistic lens? Great! Sounds like you could be the perfect person to join our growing marketing team. With over 400 pieces of marketing collateral in our toolkit (yep!), we can’t wait to tap your creative copywriting skills to repurpose existing copy and craft new content to engage our member community.


We’re DCAT, a business development association serving the global bio/pharmaceutical manufacturing value chain. Our members are sourcing, procurement, supply chain executives AND the suppliers who sell to them. Think of us as “business matchmakers” bringing these leaders together to make the pharma value chain happen.

We’ve been around forever (ok, just since 1890), which makes us the go-to resource for objective, expert-driven education programs and informational services. We help our members gain insight into market trends, best practices, and issues impacting the industry.


We need your stellar marcom skills to promote our events, programs, services, and member branding opportunities. You’ll also spotlight our members’ executive-level achievements, market our sponsorship packages, and highlight other membership activities (e.g. scholarships, dues renewals, board elections, etc.)

About 6 months of the year, from October to March, you’ll be marketing our signature event: DCAT Week, a must-attend conference where our member companies engage in sales meetings, educational sessions, and networking opportunities.

Overall, you’ll leverage your marketing lens for creating and repurposing content, and your journalistic lens for interviewing and storytelling to help our members showcase their accomplishments.


Because your career goals are important to us, we want you to know that this role does NOT have a heavy digital / social media function. The reason? Our members are senior level executives (mostly 50+) who don’t often engage in social channels. They prefer to receive our content through traditional web and e-communication methods, and periodically through LinkedIn. That’s why we’re focusing this position on content creation, rather than digital distribution. If you’re truly a writer at heart, this job could be for you!


  • A terrific copywriter with at least 5 years of content creation experience, preferably in an association environment.
  • Skilled in a variety of content formats including marketing collateral, eblasts, website copy, and LinkedIn posts.
  • A talented interviewer and storyteller capable of showcasing the achievements of our high-level executive members.
  • A collaborative thought partner, able to strategize with your teammates about new story ideas and the best channels to promote our member value.


Anywhere in the continental US! This is a 100% remote opportunity; however, if you happen to live in New Jersey and would like to spend part of your time in our Robbinsville office, you’re more than welcome.

SALARY: $85,000
